For market news and reports delivered directly to your email inbox, sign up for a Trading Central newsletter. You’ll receive market updates and trading ideas based on technical events for the market or by sector – sent to your inbox before the markets even opens.
The best newsletter to start with is Trading Central’s “Morning Brief”. It provides a daily market outlook, with trending news and earnings notifications. Then, if you need something specific to a sector or market segment, check out Trading Central’s other newsletters.
To sign up for Trading Central’s Morning Brief:
1. Log in to you Qtrade Direct Investing account and navigate to Quotes & Market Info > Market Commentary. Find the Trading Central logo and click on “sign up”.
2. Input your email address in the field and scroll down to find the “Daily Morning Brief” tile and click on “Subscribe”. (You can also subscribe to any of the other Trading Central newsletters by selecting “Subscribe” on their tiles.)
3. You’ll start receiving your Morning Brief in your email inbox the next morning!

You can access these commentaries two ways:
1. Log in to you Qtrade Direct Investing account. From your dashboard, scroll down to the “Market Commentary” tiles on the right side of the page and select the Dow Jones or Desjardins commentary you’re interested in.
2. Log in to your Qtrade Direct Investing account and navigate to Quotes & Market Info > Market Commentary. Select the Dow Jones or Desjardins commentary you’re interested in.
On the same Market Commentary landing page, Qtraders can also access sector-specific commentaries, such as Power & Utilities, Consumer Discretionary, Metals & Mining, Information Technology, etc.
We also offer both a Weekly Market Pulse and Monthly Market Insights, which includes macroeconomic commentary, market index performance, and other commentary. We post these commentaries on the Qtrade website each week on Mondays and share them through our social media channels.
